i had a wonderful stay at this hotel on my recent visit to st augustine. my previous visit's disappointments were exceeded with clean, comfortable rooms and attentive staff. the highlight was enjoying the scenic view by the newly built deck overlooking the river, and i adored the breakfast spread with freshly made waffles and assorted fruits.
the air conditioner was quite loud.

Beautiful sunsets from the deck, pet-friendly accommodations, outdoor pool area for relaxation
It's quite clear that the constant noise from passing trains disrupts sleep!!! !!! Also, those bathroom facilities could use more shelving and better maintenance on towel racks!!! A bit more attention to cleanliness would really elevate this place!!!

Comfortable stay with a great location
I enjoyed the spacious room, which came with a mini-fridge and microwave, perfect for snacks after a day of exploring. The sunset view from the deck was a highlight, adding a nice touch to our evenings. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our needs were met during our stay. However, the noise from the nearby train was quite distracting, especially at night.

missingWrote a review on Nov 03train noise
Location-wise, crossing the busy highway to get to the historic district felt like a sprint, especially with no crosswalks around. Trains rumbled by regularly from behind the motel, causing occasional disruptions at night, so if you're a light sleeper, you might want to consider earplugs. The room air conditioning kicked in loudly and could be unsettling if you're trying to drift off. Lighting was also lacking in the dresser area, making it a bit difficult to unpack without proper visibility.

The on-site dining options were limited, but you can't beat the convenience of Denny's across the street for late-night bites. The comfy bed and spacious room provided a cozy haven after a long day of exploring. Bonus points for the friendly staff who went above and beyond to return my forgotten items!

My stay at The Ponce was quite pleasant. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and went out of their way to make my experience enjoyable. The hotel is conveniently located only 3/4 of a mile from the heart of St Augustine, allowing easy access to local attractions. The room was clean, well-furnished, and included modern amenities such as a large flat-panel TV and a microwave. The continental breakfast provided a good selection of hot and cold items, and the pool area was a great place to relax after a long day of work.
The remote control for the TV did not work completely, and the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy.

The King Room was spacious and incredibly clean. I loved having an ice maker in the room. it was such a nice touch. The sunset view from the deck was stunning, a perfect spot to wind down. Staff were all friendly and very accommodating. The pool area was well-maintained and relaxing. Unfortunately, the noise from the nearby trains was disruptive at night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The shower had a bit of an awkward setup, and the breakfast options lacked variety. Despite these drawbacks, my stay was enjoyable overall.

Our stay at The Ponce was delightful, with a clean room, stunning views, and a lovely pool area to unwind. A slight disturbance from train noise reminded me of the charming train rides you find in French countrysides but didn’t overshadow our joyful family time exploring St Augustine.
